Dislocated finger not healing, what to do?? help please, very important!?

So about 4 months ago i was in a wrestling match at school and in the middle of the match i fell and my finger got crooked sideways for about 2 minutes but went back to its normal place. so i went to the trainer room and they just gave me ice and taped it together. the next day my finger was really really fat, like i couldnt believe it. So i went to the doctors and they gave me a splint. i put the splint on and after 2 weeks it didnt do anything. so now its been 4 months and the swelling is still the same, hasnt changed a bit. and it doesn't hurt unless i press on it hard, but im playing football so it could get hurt easily.. now what shall i do?? is it too late??
