Metallica-Unforgiven can someone explain the music video?

I have seen the music video for Unforgiven, by Metallica half a million times, and I have no idea what the person in the video is doing. It's an awesome video, don't get em wrong, I love it. I just don't get it. Also, does it really have anything to do with the lyrics? I know "Whiskey in the Jar" Is a video about drunk kids, but the song is about a soldier coming home, having with his wife, and killing a guy... or something. A lot of their videos get me like that, and I don't know if this one is one of those, or I'm just not seeing it. I saw that he seemed to be attampting to get a safe out of a wall, and at the end he moved a block and it had a lock that he locked and I don't know where the window led or anything. It's probably just a lot of symbolic stuff. If you can at least give me a link or url to a site, blog, or forum that discusses this, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
